The Newstead Ultimate is a hugely popular wooden, upholstered high stacking church chair. It can safely stack 8 high in a solid and secure way. A perfect addition to any church, they are portable, sturdy and can easily be set up to seat the congregation. It’s the perfect solution to a very simple problem when it comes to creating space or providing people with a comfortable & traditionally styled church chair.
The chair features as standard a prayer rail fitted over an 8” back pad (200mm) giving excellent lumbar support coupled with a comfortable “box” shaped seat.
The quality kiln-dried solid beech framed chair utilisers comb and mortise & tenon joints for added strength, stability, and durability. This type of joint is decidedly stronger than a dowel joint and has been used for thousands of years to join pieces of wood, mainly when adjoining and connecting at right angles. The frame can be stained to match other items of furniture from within your church.
The optional Sliding Bookshelf simply slides in/out from the rear of the chair. This feature doesn’t hinder the stack ability of the chairs. When not in use the shelf will not catch your legs when approaching/leaving your seat.
The chairs can be linked with the optional keyhole linking device to either form a straight row or in curves and armchairs can be stacked, only if they are the top chair.
Options include, communion cup hole, linking, PVC/Felt feet (to protect polished floors), arms, curved or solid book boxes, the choice of increasing the width of the chair by 1” or 2”. The wooden arms provide additional support and assistance where needed.
The hardwood solid beech frame as standard, has a clear lacquered finish, however, optional frame stains are available to compliment your existing church interior or any other item of wooden furniture.
To help minimise the risk of damage to the chairs or flooring, we recommend that chairs are transported using a chair trolley. Chair trolleys make transporting stacks from storage to the hall far easier, reducing setting up time.

Delivery
We like to be transparent and honest about our delivery costs. We could have offered FREE delivery and hidden the cost by hiking our prices, So instead we just ask for a contribution towards our deliveries based on your order value:
Within Mainland UK (below prices are ex VAT)
£50.00 for Orders less than £199
£55.00 for Orders between £200 and £399
£60.00 for Orders between £400 and £599
£65.00 for Orders between £600 and £999
£95.00 for Orders over £1000.00
For delivery to the Scottish Lowlands & Highlands, Grampians, Shetlands, offshore islands, Northern Ireland, or countries outside the UK, please contact us, as an additional delivery cost will apply. However, this will be agreed at the time of ordering.
Return Of Goods
You have 5 working days after receiving your order in full to notify us in a written format that you wish to send the goods back to us for a full refund. Goods can be returned if they are unused, unassembled, in their original packaging and in a resalable condition and If you are unable to arrange a return courier yourself, we can arrange this, but as a cost to you. Please be aware that the cost will be deducted from your final refund.
This does not apply to Made to Order products which may NOT be returned
Items which require self assembly may not be returned if unassembled and in their original packaging.
We reserve the right to charge a minimum handling fee of 35% of the value of the goods for items returned when orders are placed in error or just simply just not wanted. Your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations and Sales Of Goods Act are unaffected by this.
