The York Deluxe Armchair, has a solid beech hardwood frame, utilizing comb and mortise & tenon joints for added strength, stability, and durability. This type of joint is decidedly stronger than a dowel joint and has been used for thousands of years to join pieces of wood, mainly when adjoining and connecting at right angles. The frame can be stained to match other items of furniture from within your house of worship.
It has a considerably generous 11” (285mm) back pad, this helps to support the lower back of the user. Coupled with a luxurious seat, which enhances the overall comfort of the chair.
The chair features a prayer rail on top as standard and a kneeler/book rack fitted below the seat.
Options include, communion cup hole, linking, PVC feet, curved/ book boxes, the choice of increasing the width of the chair by 1” or 2” wider. This final option will enhance the comfort and give extra elbow room.
The York Deluxe Chair has gained a reputation as a “classic “ traditional church chair.
