The Newstead upholstered church Armchair comes with a traditional box style seat which when linked provides a continuous bench effect, combing classic design with exceptional durability. This feature helps to maximise seating capacity and reduce cost per chair.With its traditional and timeless design, the Newstead range of upholstered wooden church chairs will complement any worship area.
The quality kiln dried solid beech framed Armchair utilisers comb and mortise & tenon joints for added strength, stability, and durability. This type of joint is decidedly stronger than a dowel joint and has been used for thousands of years to join pieces of wood, mainly when adjoining and connecting at right angles. The frame can be stained to match other items of furniture from within your church.
The chair features as standard a prayer rail fitted over the 8” (210mm) back pad and 3 under seat storage rails providing space for a kneeler or books.
Options include, communion cup hole, linking, PVC feet, arms, curved/ book boxes, the choice of increasing the width of the Armchair by 1” or 2”, enhancing the comfort providing extra elbow room. The keyhole linking device including an extension block enables these Armchairs to be coupled together with a chair. The wooden arms provide additional support and assistance where required.
